In this month's edition of Gramophone, Alasdair Malloy has been featured in the segment "Artists & their instruments" with his 25 year old glass harmonica.

In the article, Alasdair discusses about his 25-years-old glass harmonica and the relationship with the instrument, from the moment he was fascinated by the concept of rotating glass bowls to his recent performance at Kew Gardens.

It’s the only instrument where the vibrations are directly created and sustained by touch, and I love that connection - it’s a living sound. It can emulate a voice, a cello, an organ... composers will sometimes use just a single note from me because it says such a lot.
