CLB Management's 2019 Christmas Highlights: Conductors

 

Continuing our Autumn 2019 highlights series, we have our Conductors!

This season, we welcomed three new conductors to the roster: Roman Baltag, Elias Peter Brown, and David Miller.

Acclaimed conductor Julien Leroy made significant appearances this Autumn in France and Switzerland!

In October, Julien led the Orchestre de Chambre de Paris at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris, receiving rave reviews, and in November, he conducted the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande for the final round of the renowned Concours de Genève.

Exciting projects await Julien in the New Year as he will lead the Opéra Comique in François-Adrien Boieldieu’s opera, La Dame blanche. Further details can be found here!

Conductor Quentin Hindley enjoyed a thrilling Autumn conducting several orchestras in France!

Highlights of Quentin’s season include performances with the Orchestre National des Pays de la Loire with pianists François Dumont and the Orchestre Régional Avignon-Provence with pianist Eric Lesage.

2020 will see several appearances in France for Quentin including performances with the Orchestre de Caen (11 February), the Opéra de Lille (7, 8, 15 March) and the Orchestre Symphonique de Bretagne (12, 13, 28 March).

Conductor Diogo Costa is looking forward to an exciting year with engagements in Portugal and the UK.

At the beginning of 2020, Diogo will act as assistant conductor to Lorenzo Viotti for Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin with the Gulbenkian Orchestra, and conduct the Orquestra Sinfónica do Porto Casa da Música in Porto next July.

In addition, Diogo will be among the ten finalists of the renowned Siemens Hallé International Conductors Competition, which will take place next February in Manchester.
