the baroque ensemble has been given the ‘NORDMETALL-Ensemblepreis of the Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern’ and has been invited to give further concerts in both the Winter season and the summer festival for many years to come.

As well as being awarded the ‘Ensemble Prize’ at this year’s Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Le Consort has been invited to become a part of the festival family, allowing them to return for future concerts at the prestigious festival. The festival awards prizes to the most promising soloists and ensembles, as well as an audience award; prizewinners from previous years include notable musicians such as Daniel Hope, Julia Fischer, Nils Mönkemeyer, Daniel Müller-Schott, Igor Levit, and Matthias Schorn.

Every year, a prizewinner in residence is chosen from the festival family and has the chance to shape an entire summer festival. The programme for next summer will be announced in November.
