Soon to begin their first season as BBC New Generation Artists, the Consone Quartet look forward to two performances across Europe this week.

The British quartet make an appearance in their home country as they perform at the Lapwing Festival in Cuckmere Haven on Sunday, 1 September (11:00) presenting Haydn's Op. 20, no.4 and Op.74, no.3 String Quartets. This intimate recital takes place in a marquee overlooking the Coastguard Cottages, the Cuckmere Valley, and the cliffs of the Seven Sisters, in what is one of the most beautiful concert venues in the world.

Tickets for this concert are available to purchase here!

The following day, Monday, 2 September, the quartet repeat this programme in Hungary for a double performance (12:15 and 13:45) as part of the Martin Randall Festival in the Haydn Hall of the beautiful Esterháza Palace in Fertőd where many of Haydn’s compositions would have been performed for the first time.
