Exciting projects await Quatuor Van Kuijk in their upcoming season

Quatuor Van Kuijk look forward to a busy season ahead filled with a number of highly-anticipated returns at illustrious venues, notable debut appearances, and the release of their Mozart CD double bill.

This season sees the Quartet make return appearances at renowned European venues including the Amsterdam Concertgebouw (9 October 2019), the Wiener Konzerthaus (14 November 2019) and London’s Wigmore Hall (8 December 2019), as well as a tour of Sweden with pianist Håvard Gimse (17 - 24 November 2019). The following year, the ensemble return to the Philharmonie de Paris (11 January 2020) and to Lisbon’s Gulbenkian (26 January 2020), in addition to performances at Venice’s Teatro la Fenice (9 & 10 March 2020), the Megaron in Athens (17 March 2020), and the Tonhalle Zürich (25 May 2020). The Quartet head into the summer festival season off the back of their Australian tour where they return for a residency at the Canberra International Music Festival (5 – 8 May 2020).

On the same Australian tour, Quatuor Van Kuijk will make notable debut apperances at venues including the Sydney Opera House's Utzon Room (3 May 2020), UKARIA Cultural Centre in Adelaide (10 May 2020), and Melbourne Recital Centre the following day. This season, the Quartet also make their debut at New York’s iconic Carnegie Hall as part of a US Tour (23 April 2020).

Quatuor Van Kuijk will also release two CDs on the Alpha Classics label this season. In a return to the Quartet's first love, Mozart, as featured on their debut album, they release a recording of the composer's 14th and 15th String Quartets on 11 October 2019. The second CD in the double bill will feature Mozart's 3rd and 4th String Quintets with eminent violist Adrien La Marca, and will be released in 2020.
