The Carducci String Quartet perform with clarinettist Julian Bliss at the Snape Proms

On Sunday, 4 August (19:30), the Carducci Quartet perform as part of this year’s Snape Proms. The festival, which runs from 1 - 31 August, features a range of musicians from around the world including classical stars such as Alison Balsom, Sheku Kanneh-Mason, and Ian Bostridge.
The quartet are joined by regular chamber partner, clarinettist Julian Bliss, for a programme featuring Beethoven's String Quartet no.11 'Serioso' plus two of the great clarinet quintets by Weber and Mozart, which the group recorded and released on the Signum Classics label in October 2018. The recording was acclaimed for its "breathtaking... tenderness" and "irresistible... virtuosity" in Gramophone magazine.
