Soprano Forooz Razavi performs as “Donna Elvira” in Mozart’s Don Giovanni at Immling Festival
Acclaimed soprano Forooz Razavi returns to Germany this week as she performs at the Immling Festival in Mozart’s operatic masterpiece, Don Giovanni, in the role of “Donna Elvira”. The production premieres this Friday on 19 July and runs until 9 August.
Directed by Cornelia von Kerssenbrock, and accompanied by the Immling Festival Choir and Orchestra, the opera revolves around the seducer of Seville, “Don Giovanni” (Modestas Sedlevičius), as he attempts to conquer the women of his affection with reckless abandon for those he hurts in the process. “Donna Elvira” (Forooz Razavi), one of his previous lovers, is left alone, jilted, hurt from love and anger.
