The Carducci Quartet joins forces with Benedict Nelson at Cheltenham Music Festival next week
Next week, the Carducci Quartet begins its curated weekend at Syde Manor, UK as part of the Cheltenham Music Festival. Under the title “A Voyage To The New World”, the Quartet and guest artists Benedict Nelson, Julian Bliss, and Kathryn Stott, explore music by composers from both sides of the Atlantic and by those who were influenced by their travels from Europe to America.
On Saturday, 29 June, the Carducci Quartet team up with British pianist Kathryn Stott for a concert including string quartets by Britten and Dvořák and piano works by Ravel at 16:00.
The second of the two concerts, at 19:30, will feature fellow CLB Artist, Baritone Benedict Nelson, who will join the Carducci Quartet for Barber’s Dover Beach before rounding off the concert with works from the American songbook.

On Sunday, 30 June, the Quartet return for a further two concerts. The first, at 11:00, with Julian Bliss features works by Gershwin, Copland, and Poulenc before the Carducci Quartet tackles Reich’s minimalist gem, Different Trains.
