Quatuor Voce make their Australian debut at the Canberra International Music Festival
Quatuor Voce make their Australian debut this week as residents of the Canberra International Music Festival from 3-8 May. The quartet will feature in a series of concerts across the week including:
3 May: A World of Bach - The festival's opening event celebrates the historic Cantor of Leipzig and his legacy in Australia. Quatuor Voce will perform Contrapuncti arrangements from the seminal The Art of Fugue BWV 1080.
5 May: The Three B's - a thoroughly Germanic programme of Bach, Beethoven, and Bruckner whose String Quintet in F major will see the Voce join forces with Australian violist James Wannan.
8 May: Brexit Blues - Voce round off the programme with Franck's Piano Quintet in F minor (with pianist Vyacheslav Gryanov) serving as a retort to the Elgar of the first half.
Plus you can catch the members of the quartet individually at their own Festival Extra concerts throughout the week!
