Andreas Staier performs Haydn with Bremer Philharmoniker
German harpsichordist and fortepianist, Andreas Staier, will perform this weekend in Bremen with the Bremer Philharmoniker, under the baton of Marco Comin.
Andreas will appear as soloist, performing the Joseph Haydn Concerto for Piano and Orchestra in D Major Hob. XVIII:11, the most popular of Haydn’s keyboard concertos. Like Mozart in his Viennese concertos, Haydn here infuses the concerto’s traditional ritornello form, based on the alternation of solo and tutti, with the drama and dynamism of sonata form.
