Paul Carey Jones performs as "Sacristan" in Puccini's Tosca with the Scottish Opera

Acclaimed Bass-Baritone Paul Carey Jones returns to Scotland to perform with the Scottish Opera in Puccini’s operatic masterpiece, Tosca, in the role of Sacristan. Paul will also be covering the role of Scarpia. The production premieres this Wednesday on 16 October and runs until 23 November.

1940s' Rome, in the shadow of Mussolini's tyrannical rule... Floria Tosca – a smart and passionate woman – attempts to free her lover from the clutches of Baron Scarpia, the lecherous, power-mad Chief of Police. As the stakes get higher she is faced with an impossible choice – will her hopes be crushed or can love win out?
