New collaboration with award winning Joseph Tawadros

CLB Management is delighted to start a new collaboration with the award winning Oud player and Composer, Joseph Tawadros.

Born in Egypt, Joseph relocated to Sydney aged three and now resides in London. Described as “One of the most impressive musicians to emerge in Australia”, his drive to push musical boundaries and draw on creative inspirations from across the globe have resulted in an expansive repertoire of innovative, original music for one of the earliest of the string instruments. Pulling the Oud into mainstream western programmes, a recent highlight saw him present his original works in recital at the BBC Proms. The concert was met with unanimous critical acclaim: The Times, Bach Track, and can be heard in full via the BBC website here.

In addition to his expansive recital catalogue, Joseph is performing a selection of programmes with chamber and symphony orchestras. His Concerto for Oud & Orchestra, commissioned by the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, will be further performed with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and other orchestras in 2019. He appeared with the BBC Symphony Orchestra at the BBC Proms Dubai in 2017, performing his works ConstantinopleEye of the Beholder, and Permission to Evaporate, and is also regularly touring with the Australian Chamber Orchestra – a recent highlight being an eclectic Vivaldi Four Seasons interspersed with his own music.
