News of the week | 23rd July

Carducci String Quartet start the week performing at Ryedale Festival in Birdsall on 23 July. They will be joined by the Heath Quartet to perform Mendelssohn's Octet. 

Van Kuijk Quartet are headed to Denmark, performing at Frederiksvaerk Music Festival on 23 July, followed by a performance at Fanø Sommerkoncerter on 24 July. 

Alexandre Tharaud performs in Nice, France on 24 July as part of the Nice Classic Live festival. 

Andreas Staier will make an appearance at Schleswig Holstein Musik Festival. Performing on 24 July in Bad Oldesloe and 25 July in Hamburg.  

GRB Concerts tour Germany with a new programme paying homage to Frank Sinatra and Judy Garland. Richard and Graham, along with acclaimed vocalist Louise Dearman,  join the BBC Concert Orchestra for concerts at the Rheingau and Grafenegg Festivals. Following this they return to the RTE Concert Orchestra on 3rd August to present their ever popular Burt Bacharach show, with Mary Carewe, Alison Jiear and Abbie Osmon. 

Reginald Mobley will perform at Whidbey Island Music Festival on 29 July, performing pieces from Bach and Vivaldi. 

Béla Quartet perform at Festival de Chaillol on 29 July with the talented harpist Valeria Kafelnikov, followed by another performance on 30 July.

Finally, we end the week with Momo Kodama, Josep-Ramon Olivé and Pascal Rénéric performing their Debussy programme in the festival 'Comme ça me chante’ on 29 July.
