News of the week | 18th June
Quatuor Voce will tour Germany, performing works by Piazzolla, Redi, Trenet in Bleckede - 22 June 19:30, and Ulrichshusen – 23 June 19:30.
It is also a busy week for Alasdair Malloy, who will present a series of education concerts with the RLPO at Liverpool Philharmonic Hall, from 18th- 20th June. This will be followed immediately by his annual recording with the orchestra, for Key Stage 2 students, and a family concert: All Aboard the Pirate Ship on Sunday 24th June at 14:30.
Reginald Mobley finishes his European tour with Sir John Eliot Gardiner and the Monteverdi Choir and Orchestra in Paris. The last three concerts will be on Tuesday 19th at the Basilica de St Denis, and on Wednesday 20th and Thursday 21st at the Palace of Versailles.
French pianist Alexandre Tharaud will perform on Friday 22nd at the Festival Lavaux Classic in Cully (Switzerland), with a programme featuring Couperin, Chabrier, Debussy and Ravel, and on Sunday 24th at the Festival La Grange de Meslay in Tours (France) with music by J.S. Bach.
