Andreas Staier Resident at the Wissenschaftskolleg

During the 17/18 season, Andreas Staier will be resident at the Wissenschaftskolleg in Berlin. During his time at the renowned “Institute for Advanced Study”, Andreas will undertake further preparation of a number of cadenzas which he has written for concertos of the 18th and early 19th centuries, as well as advance his research on the late works of Bach. He will continue to perform a small selection of concerts, including a recital at De Doelen in Rotterdam, chamber music with Isabelle Faust, Alexander Melnikov and Christine Schornsheim, and appearances with the hr-Sinfonieorchester and Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin (Bernard Labadie). He will also record a disc with the Porto based Orquestra Barroca Casa da Música, presenting music composed on, or inspired by, the Iberian Penisula.
