Sarah Gilford returns to the Bayerische Staatsoper to sing in a children’s production of Der Mondbär

The young British soprano will appear at the Bayerische Staatsoper in a reworking of the picture book, Der Mondbär, by Rolf Fänger and Ulrike Möltgen. This production presents a mixture of famous works from across opera’s history, as well as new contemporary pieces by Richard Whilds. Enhanced by a moving story, telling of friendship, sharing, and letting go, the world of opera is opened up for the youngest in our society. Sarah Gilford plays the ‘Hare’ in these performances; see below for more details.
