Rebecca Leggett is announced as a Rising Star of the Enlightenment
Rebecca leggett earns a place on the competitive singers scheme for emerging young artists, providing opportunities to perform both nationally and internationally over a two-year period
Mezzosoprano Rebecca Leggett is proving to be one of the most interesting talents of the new baroque vocal generation. Not only will she join Les Arts Florissants in their prestigious young artists academy, Jardin des Voix, touring the world in a new production of Purcell’s The Fairy Queen, but she will also join the Rising Stars of the Enlightenment.

Founded in 1986, the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment is an internationally-renowned ensemble that launched its Rising Stars programme in 2017. An official Resident Orchestra at the Southbank Centre, the group also perform annually at Glyndebourne and travel nationally and internationally, working with some of the world’s most prestigious conductors. The programme is the perfect place to provide opportunities for talented young artists, introducing them to the international music scene and exposing them to new, challenging repertoire.
