Le Consort perform at the Festivals de Wallonie
Le Consort will be the resident ensemble at the Festivals de Wallonie performing on August 5th.
The ensemble will present their new programme ‘Vivaldi in his time’ for the release of their new CD for the ALPHA CLASSICS label, which they will also play at the Festival d’Ambronay on September 10th.
Led by the talented Justin Taylor on harpsichord and Théotime Langlois de Swarte on violin, the ensemble explores the Venetian trio sonata. This new program mirrors Vivaldi's sonatas (including the famous Follia ) and the lesser-known ones of Giovanni Battista Reali. They set to music a fruitful dialogue in the upper spheres between two violins competing in virtuosity and expressiveness.
