Jean-Baptiste Doulcet's second album 'Soleils Blancs' is now released
Jean-Baptiste Doulcet's second album 'Soleils Blancs' is released. Inspired by his days of travelling and studying in Finland, Sweden, and Denmark, the album reflects the serene, glimmering light of the Far North, mirroring the landscapes of lakes, frost, forests, and snowy expanses. This tranquility, akin to the music of Grieg, Nielsen, and Sibelius, evokes a profound connection to nature and introspection. Their music, rich with folklore and solitude, was highly esteemed by French composers like Ravel. Sibelius’s work, especially The Trees, echoes a sentiment of unity with nature.
