In a number of institutions, works written by women still remain in the ultra-minority. But some programmers now systematically include a few pieces in their brochures, or even devote entire concerts to rediscovering the repertoire of female composers. The legacy of French composers of the XIXth  century is particularly appreciated, but contemporary art example is also well represented. So, which concerts to book to discover this wonderful heritage?

The Opéra de Lyon is one of the rare French venues to give this season an opera written by a woman, Diana Soh, to be discovered in November: Zylan will not sing anymore (to a text by Yann Verburgh) is a pocket creation around the story of a young persecuted homosexual singer (Benjamin Alunni), which promises to be moving thanks to the pictorial writing of the composer, heir to Ligeti.
