Busy Summer for CLB's Quartets
The Carducci Quartet is getting ready for another busy summer of festival appearances.Having performed in Dublin for Great Music in Irish Houses earlier this month, they will soon be returning to Cheltenham Festival for a special weekend celebrating Mendelssohn; 1-2 July. They then head north for a Shostakovich cycle at the Ryedale Festival and further Shostakovich at Paxton Festival, as well as performing closer to home at the Gower and Guiting Power festivals.
Also performing at Cheltenham Festival will be the Van Kuijk Quartet,as part of BBC Radio 3's New Generation Artists scheme. The quartet also has a full diary this summer, returning to the Aix-en-Provence festival, joining up with clarinettist Annelien Van Wauwe for their debuts at the BBC Proms and Harrogate Festival, and appearing at various other festivals across France, Germany and Italy.
