CLB Management welcomes soprano Stéphanie Varnerin to the vocal roster

We are delighted to welcome French soprano Stéphanie Varnerin to our roster!

Stéphanie is a prolific exponent of baroque repertoire. She sings with ensembles such as Les Folies Françoises (P. Cohen-Akenine), Les Ambassadeurs (A.Kossenko), Les concerts de l’Hostel Dieu (FE Comte), L’Astrée (Academia Montis Regalis, G. Tabacco), L’ensemble Stravaganza (T.Soltani et D. Gilon), Le Capriccio Français (P. Le Fèvre) and Les Folies du temps (O. Dejours). Stéphanie has also been invited to sing contemporary music and has worked closely with composers Jean-Philippe Calvin, Jean-Marie Curti, Lucien Guérinel and Olivier Kaspar.

She was awarded the First and Public prizes at the Froville International Baroque Voice competition in 2014, Armel Opera in Hungary in 2013 as well as at the Léopold Bellan competition in Paris. On stage, she received an Orphée d’Or for her interpretation of Mrs Martin in La Cantatrice Chauve in Paris (Théâtre de l’Athénée) in 2010 and the Arte Live Web for The Governess in The Turn of the Screw in 2013.

Stéphanie has performed the roles of Clairette La fille de Madame Angot, Caroline Die Fledermaus, Fé-annich-ton Ba-ta-clan by Offenbach, the title role in Véronique by Messager and recorded her first solo CD, Cantatas with ensemble Astrée (Academia Montis Regalis) under the baton of Giorgio Tabacco comprising of cantatas for soprano by Carlo Francesco Cesarini, which was released for the Aparté label in 2017. A second CD of French music for guitar and voice duo with her brother, was released to great success for the Muso label in 2019.
