Ben Johnson performs in Academy of Ancient Music’s Handel’s ‘Messiah’ at the Barbican Centre
On 19th December 2020, tenor Ben Johnson will join the Academy of Ancient Music to perform Handel’s “Messiah,” as part of the Live from the Barbican concert series in London. Directed by Richard Egarr on the harpsichord, Ben Johnson will be joined by British soloists including soprano Rowan Pierce, countertenor Iestyn Davies, and bass Ashley Riches in the iconic work.
The concert will mark the AAM’s first performance to a live audience since March 2020. Tickets for the broadcast-quality livestream performance will be available.
