Watch Consone Quartet's performance in LSO's virtual Lunchtime Live Concert

On Friday 13th November, the Consone Quartet performed Fanny Mendelssohn’s quartet at LSO St Luke’s as part of the LSO Friday Lunchtime Live concert series, presented by Rachel Leach. The concert was streamed live and will be available for 14 weeks as part of the LSO’s new ‘Youtube Sundays’ programme.

As the composer’s only work for string quartet, it was written in 1834 and based on an earlier, unfinished Piano Sonata. Following their livestream concert, the Consone Quartet recorded the work for BBC Radio 3 at BBC Maida Vale Studios in London on what would have been Fanny Mendelssohn’s 215th birthday!
