Upcoming summer highlights for CLB singers!

Bass-Baritone Paul Carey Jones enjoys this year’s summer season in the UK. Highlights for this season will include a performance in Mahler’s Symphony No. 8 this Friday at The Bridgewater Hall in Manchester with the Chetham’s Symphony Orchestra before taking part in The Burning Boy at the Three Choirs Festival (27 July) joined by solo treble and BBC Radio 2 Young Chorister of the Year 2018. He culminates his summer season performing as “Wotan” in Wagner’s Das Rheingold at the Grimeborn Festival (31 July – 10 August).

Recently joined CLB Management, Baritone Christian Andreas starts his summer season performing in Mozart’s “The Magic Flute” at Aquilon Music Festival, Oregon in the United States (17 – 20 July).
Later this summer, highlights will include Handel’s “Alexanderfest” in Berlin (12 and 13 September).

Acclaimed Baritone Benedict Nelson continues with cover performances at the Glyndebourne Festival’s production of Rossini’s l barbiere di Siviglia (until 14 July). After performing at Cheltenham Festival last week with the Carducci Quartet, Benedict’s summer highlights especially include covering “Jan Nyman” in the European premiere of Breaking the Waves by Missy Mazzoli at Edinburgh International Festival with the Scottish Opera (21 - 24 August).

Josep-Ramon Olivé, Baritone, enjoys a warm summer in Spain, where he recently was involved in the spectacular opera Tosca by Puccini at the Gran Teatre del Licieu in Barcelona. On 18 July you can catch Josep-Ramon at Castell de Peralada Festival’s world premiere of the chamber opera Diàlegs de Tirant e Carmesina by composer Joan Magrané.

Tenor Ben Johnson can be seen as “Basilio” in Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro at Barbican Hall, London, tonight. Moreover, he revives his role as “King Nebuchadnezzar” in The Burning Fiery Furnace by Britten at Southrepps Festival, UK (10 August) which he performed to rave reviews at Lammermuir Festival with the Scottish Opera. This is the first staged production at the Southrepps Festival.
Catch Ben at further performances at the Festival on 8 and 9 August.

Soprano Forooz Razavi spends the summer period at Immling Festival in Germany (19 July – 9 August) where she can be seen as “Donna Elvira” in Mozart’s Don Giovanni, one of the composers most highly praised masterpieces. The opera is accompanied by the Festival Choir Immling and Orchestra Immling under the musical direction of Cornelia von Kerssenbrock.
