Upcoming summer highlights for CLB Soloists!

Harpsichordist and fortepianist Andreas Staier enjoys a festival-studded summer season this year with back-to-back appearances at the Festival Internacional Musica Espinho, Portugal (6 July) and York Early Music Festival, UK (8 July). Later in the summer, you can catch Staier at the acclaimed Edinburgh International Festival (19 August) where he will present Bach’s Double Concerto in C major with harpsichordist Christine Schornsheim and the Dunedin Consort in what will be an unmissable concert.

An action-packed summer awaits harpsichordist Justin Taylor with no less than 17 concerts spread across July and August in recital and with Le Consort in France, Spain, and Finland. In recital, Taylor appears at the Estives Musicales Internationales à Louvie Juzon, France (16 July) and the Festival Internacional de Música Pau Casals, Spain (19 July) where he will present Bach’s Brandenburg Concertos. Following a performance at the Biarritz Piano Festival, France (1 August), Taylor heads onto the BRQ Vantaa Festival, Finland (9 August) before culminating his summer season at Sinfonia, Le Festival Baroque, France (29 August).

Cellist Benedict Kloeckner enjoys an exciting summer at the helm of the Internationales Musikfestival Koblenz, Germany (12 July - 21 September) where he will be joined by a number of award-winning international musicians including Yury Revich, José Gallardo, and Benjamin Grosvenor for a series of spectacular concerts. In between appearances at his festival, Kloeckner makes a number of stops around Germany including Berlin’s A-Trane for the launch of his CD with Danae Dörken (15 July), the Weillburger Schlossfestspiele (21, 26, 27 July), the Kammermusiktage Mettlach (9 and 10 August), and the Rheingau Musikfestival (13 August), before rounding off the summer at the Minoa Palace Chamber Music Festival, Crete (26 August - 4 September).

This summer, renowned pianist Evgeni Bozhanov makes a number of festival appearances including a return to Poland for the Chopin Music Festival (20 August) and the Orlando Piano Week, Croatia (29 August) where he will present programmes charting the course of the piano's illustrious history from Scarlatti to Liszt, via Beethoven and Chopin.

Following an exciting 18/19 season including recitals at La Scala and Philharmonie de Paris, plus a tour of Japan with her sister and duo partner, Mari Kodama, pianist Momo Kodama finishes the season with a concert at the Musique d'un Siècle Festival on 16 August with a programme of Beethoven, Saint-Saens, Rameau, and Dukas.
