Bordeaux String Quartet Competition 2019

CLB Management is delighted to announce its partnership with the 2019 edition of the Concours International de Quatuors à Cordes à Bordeaux. As part of the project, CLB Management and our local partners will be touring the laureates of the competition across Europe, Canada, and Japan throughout the 20/21 season.

Six talented quartets have been shortlisted for the final stage which takes place from 4 to 12 June, and in which the candidates will compete across three concerts in front of an audience and jury consisting of Alain Meunier, director of Quatuors à Bordeaux; Franck Chevalier, Quatuor Diotima; Kari Fitterer, Chamber Music Society at Lincoln Center, NY; Giovanni Bietti, Mantova Chamber Music Festival; Emmanuel Hondré, Philharmonie de Paris; Cathy Wilkinson, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg.  

The finalists are Quatuor Tchalik, Verona Quartet, Simply Quartet, Callisto Quartet, Marmen Quartet, and Aris Quartett
