Les Talens Lyriques’s album featuring Gounod’s ‘Faust‘ - a masterpiece of French opera - has been named Editor's Choice by Gramophone magazine in its list of the best new classical albums: November 2019. In addition, the disc received a nomination in the Opera category of the 2020 ICMA Awards.

Previously, the album received high praise from both the Times and Gramophone:

It emerges spring-cleaned of 150 years of Victorian accretions and cobwebs in Rousset’s hands. The French conductor makes every bar sound fresh-minted in the unfamiliar music that Gounod cut for the “grand” Paris Opéra version that we know today.
