News of the Week | 17th September 2018
A wonderfully busy week for our CLB Artists!
Van Kuijk Quartet kick start the week with a trio of concerts as part of Lammermuir Festival’s Haydn Coffee Concert series from 17 - 19 September.
Carducci String Quartet will present the first instalment of their three-part Bartók Macro/Micro series at London’s Kings Place in the on 19 September.
Notos Quartett will perform at Kammermusik in Stadthaus on 19 September, with a programme of piano quartets by Mozart, Martinů and Schumann. On 21 September they perform a programme of Martinů and Gál for Hermann Haake Foundation in Ludwigsburg.
Alexandre Tharaud will be touring with The Cleveland Orchestra in Ohio. Performing the Left Hand concerto of Hans Abrahamsen, the tour will begin with concerts in Cleveland at Severance Hall 20 and 22 September and continue with Finney Chapel in Oberlin on 21 September.
Andreas Staier will perform with Peter Rundel and Remix Ensemble Casa da Música in Antwerp on 21 September and Cologne on 22 September.
Gilles Apap will perform with Meduoteran on 21 September as part of Klassik Nuevo in Basel, Switzerland.
Voce Quartet will perform at Flint Theater in Amersfoort, Netherlands on 21 September with a Russian programme including works by Shostakovich, Tchaikovsky and Gubaidulina.
Ben Johnson and Benedict Nelson will perform with Scottish Opera at Lammermuir Festival, with a performance of The Burning Fiery Furnace by Benjamin Britten on 21 September.
Consone Quartet will be our final ensemble to perform at Lammermuir Festival on 22 September, with a programme of Boccherini, Schubert and Mendelssohn.
Josep-Ramon Olivé will perform with Chamber Choir of Granollers and Orquestra Simfònica del Vallès at Palau de la Música in Barcelona on 22 September.
Quentin Hindley will lead the Strasbourg Philharmonic Orchestra at Le Théâtre la Coupole in Strasbourg on 22 September.
