Carducci Quartet are headed to Norfolk to perform at the beautiful Holkham Hall as part of the North Norfolk Music Festival on 14 August. Their programme brings together Beethoven and Mendelssohn as well as providing a chance to hear a recent work by Joint Festival Director Simon Rowland-Jones, ‘Flock of Knot’ inspired by a walk on Holkham Beach.

 

Momo Kodama will perform at Festival De Musique En Albert in Nérac, France on 14 August. She will deliver a programme including pieces from Messiaen, Debussy, Chopin and Mussorgsky.

 

Alexandre Tharaud performs in Quebec on 16 August, as part of the Musique de Chambre. He will perform a programme of French and Germanic music including pieces by François Couperin, his own transcript of the Debussy Wildlife Afternoon (celebrating the 100th anniversary of death), and the Sonatas Op. 109 and Op. 111 of Beethoven. 

 

Quatuor Voce bring Kilkenny Arts Festival's Brahms series to a close at the end of the week. They will be joined by viola player Hélène Desaint, to explore some of his greatest works for strings, along with clarinettist Florent Héau, who will perform the Clarinet Quintet. in a trio of concerts from 17-19 August.
