News of the week | 8th October
An exciting week ahead for CLB Artists!
Béla Quartet are joined by the wonderful cellist Noémi Boutin opening their week tonight 8 October at Théâtre des Bouffes du Nord in Paris. They will then travel to Saintes to perform at Abbaye aux Dames on 11 October.
Evgeni Bozhanov will perform with the Kammerphilharmonie Amadé in Eupen, as part of the Ostbelgien Festival on 10 October, followed by a performance at Kultursentrum Herne on 11 October.
Benedict Kloeckner will be joined by pianist Ryo Yanagitani for Ryuji Ueno Foundation’s Evermay Concert Series in Washington D.C on 10 October.
Jonathon Heyward is in Japan to direct the Osaka Symphony Orchestra on 11 October. The programme will celebrate Leonard Bernstein’s 100th Birthday, as well as feature works from Shostakovich. He will return to the UK to perform in Saffron Walden with the Hallé Orchestra, on 14 October.
Alexandre Tharaud begins the 13th edition of Pianoscope on 11 October, with concerts from 12 - 14 October.
Carducci String Quartet will perform in Witney on 12 October, with a programme of Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Arvo Part and Dvorak. They will then celebrate Teeside Music Society’s 75th Anniversary on 14 October.
Notos Quartett will be joined by double bass player Wies de Boevé to perform at Museum Villa Rot in Burgrienden on 13 October. The programme will include pieces from Vaughan Williams and Schubert.
Joseph Tawadros will present a recital The Art of the Oud at London’s October Gallery on 13 October.
Momo Kodama will perform at Cité de la Musique in Paris, for a recital including pieces from Debussy and Hosokawa on 14 October.
