News of the week | 15th October
An exciting week ahead for CLB Artists!
Consone Quartet present a programme of Haydn and Mendelssohn beginning the week with a concert at the University of Huddersfield as part of Huddersfield Music Society’s 101st season this evening, on 15 October, before travelling up to the University of York on 17 October.
Alexandre Tharaud will perform at Alte Oper, Frankfurt this evening, presenting a programme of Couperin, Beethoven and Mahler. He will travel back to France to perform Beethoveen’s last three piano sonatas at Piano à Lyon on 17 October and at Centre Départemental de la Communication on 19 October.
Marzena Diakun will lead the Orchestre de Chambre de Paris at the Notre Dame de Paris on 16 and 17 October. The programme will include Bach, Stravinski and Pärt.
Carducci Quartet present the second instalment of their three-part Macro/Micro Bartók series, on 17 October at Kings Place, London. They will then travel to Ireland to perform at The Source Arts Centre, Thurles on 19 October, Triskel Arts Centre, Cork on 20 October and ending their tour of Ireland at the National Concert Hall, Dublin on 21 October.
Josep-Ramon Olivé begins his performance as Maximilian / Capità in Leonard Bernstein’s Candide from 18 until 20 October at Gran Teatre del Liceu, Barcelona.
Notos Quartett will perform at Square Chapel Arts Centre in Halifax on 19 October, presenting a programme of Hans Gal, Schubert and Brahms.
