New album by Alexandre Tharaud & Jean-Guihen Queyras
Pianist Alexandre Tharaud and cellist Jean-Guihen Queyras have released their 4th collaborative album.
They have chosen works that lie at the heart of the Romantic repertoire, all by Brahms: his two cello sonatas and the duo’s own transcriptions of six of the Hungarian Dances.
This new Erato recording has already been Album of the week on Classic FM, Diapason d'Or and it consolidates the long-established partnership of this french duo team.
Alexandre started the first of his four tours together with Jean-Guihen, with a hit concert at the Wigmore Hall in London last week. They will be performing at the Maison de Radio France in Paris on 1st February.
